This is a bypass breakout cable used to connect to Cummins CELECT engines.

This cable is used on Cummins ECMs that are CELECT. This bypass harness is used to connect directly to the ECM instead of going through the vehicle dash connector. The Cummins ECMs in the CELECT series were started in 1990, and include some of the iconic Cummins models such as the N14 and M11 engines. If you are unsure, please contact us so we can look it up for you.

Note: This cable also requires our Main Bypass Programming Cable to connect to the ECM. Our unique design allows you to purchase this main cable first, then purchase the "ends" that you need to connect to various ECMs.

Why would you need an ECM breakout harness?
  • Most OEMs recommend NOT programming the vehicle through the dash connector, but instead go directly to the ECM. These are the perfect programming cables for such a project.
  • You are having issues with the diagnostic port on your commercial truck, and wish to bypass the vehicle wiring and go directly to the ECM.
  • You have an ECM that is not installed on the truck and wish to do programming or modifications on the workbench.
